PCD (Principles of Construction Documentation)
This course is a prerequisite to all CSC courses. Successful completion of the PCD course is mandatory to achieve the Certified Technical Representative (CTR), the Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA), and the Certified Specifications Practitioner (CSP) designations. The successful completion of PCD can be credited towards the specification writing experience required to obtain the Registered Specifications Writer (RSW) designation.

RSW (Registered Specifications Writer) &
CSP (Certified Specification Practitioner)
The RSW designation is the highest achievable accreditation which can be obtained by a Specification Writer. The RSW designation will attest to your knowledge of organizing and preparing accurate construction contract documents thereby enhancing your professional credibility through increased confidence placed in your work by your peers, employers and clients.
The CSP designation will show commitment to producing accurate documentation, by setting standards and quality of practice for specification writing through prescribed qualifications, courses and a demonstrated level of competence and ethical practices.
The Specifier 1 & Specifier 2 courses are designed to take the student beyond the concepts introduced in the PCD course and enhance their understanding and ability in the preparation of the project manual/specification. These courses can be credited towards the specification writing experience required to obtain the RSW designation, and are required to obtain the CSP designation.

CCA (Construction Contract Administrator)
The objective of the CCA program is to improve construction contract administration by providing education related to the administration and enforcement of contract requirements during the construction phase of the project. This advanced level course is designed for those individuals involved in construction administration, including Contract Administrators, Property Managers, Architects, Engineers, Interior Designers, Specification Consultants, Building Authorities, and Bonding and Insurance Agencies.

TR (Technical Representative)
The TR course will provide a better understanding of contract documents and bidding procedures, product representation, professionalism, and ethics, and will provide a new depth of understanding and explanation of concepts beyond what was previously introduced in the PCD course. The course is designed for the individual involved in the supply section of the construction industry such as manufacturer representatives, agents or distributors of products.
